In order to exploit the space between existing buildings, the tower is positioned askew to the city grid and marks it’s presence along the street front. Thus sited, the tower commands an unhindered view of the Indian Ocean and the surrounding landscape.
Exim Towers will enhance the developing skyline of Dar es Salaam. The projecting terraces give the tower a distinctive profile to make it a landmark visible from a distance. The glazing on the front and rear of the building is protected by a screen of stainless steel woven mesh and is another unique feature. The mesh controls the amount of light coming through the glass acting as a shading device for the interior spaces. From the exterior, it will be seen as an iridescent, reflective curtain, which will echo the ever changing hues of the African sky.
